Individual crystals from our amethyst geodes from Sonora, Mexico that have naturally broken from matrix in transit. Small double terminated amethyst crystals, generally 1cm in length. The localized amethyst color is often distinguishable in these crystals. Its chemical formula is SiO₂ and owes its purple coloration to irradiation of ferrous iron: Fe³ .
